    2. The Giver gave Rosemary pain.
    3. She doesn’t want to carry the burden anymore and don’t want to suffer anymore.
    4. The dead baby is in a similar pose of a dead kid in Jonas’s memory of war.
    5. To remember the person and praise them.

    2. The Giver gave both Rosemary and Jonas the memory of pain.

    3. Rosemary felt so much pain in the memories that she received and that lead her to asking The Elders to be released because she does not want to take it anymore.

    4. It reminds Jonas of the memory of war, because the pose of the baby being release and the dead person are similar.

    5. The Community have the Ceremony of Release in their society to remember the people that were released and praise them.

    2. He gave Rosemary memory of happiness and memory of pain and sufferings. The painful memories were poverty, terror and hunger.

    3. Rosemary couldn’t handle receiving the pain. So she asked to be released

    4. For somehow, Jonas actually remembered from his memory, but he knew he saw this scene before

    5. To give them respect toward what they have contributed for the Community
