Week 8 – Connector.

-The las few chapters I felt like they were rushing the book too much. But Jonas got to experience a lot of new things for him like weather and animals, and I think that is what make Jonas similar to us.

-He got to experience rain. I’ve always remembered what rain feels like, they were great at the beginning and as the rain fade away, you start getting annoyed over your wet clothes and how cold it is. Jonas and th baby has to go through that situation and I feel sad for them.

-Another kind of pain he got to experience is the pain of a twisted ankle. Nobody likes to have a twisted ankle and would have to also walk miles everyday. Jonas was tempted to give up, but he didn’t, he choose to keep moving forward. And I understand his pain, the pain of the ankle hurting over and over again every time you walk. The pain of your leg wanting to give up but your heart fighting to keep moving.

Week 6 Summarizer

Since only one person have done their duty for six, which is Violet, I’m mainly going to talk about her.

I agree the part where you say Jonas is finally experiencing true pain and death which is a brand new thing for Jonas.

For a community where sharing is an important duty, Jonas may feel very uncomfortable not being able to share things from training to others. But I guess he shouldn’t share those memories anyway, since because nobody would understand it the way he does.

“I would try hard to really captivate and understands his mixed emotions”, in a world like Jonas’? Emotions is not a thing, you may have feelings, but not emotions.

You really describe how Jonas’ feel and how much you understand that situation of his. Also you used words to describe the story of the giver and you mixed in a little of how you feel about the book which is great.

Group 3 Discussion Director.

Question 1

-Do you think that Jonas trying to let Asher see colors?

Question 2

Question 4

-Why do you think that Jonas cannot share his training to anyone?

Question 5

-Do you think that after Jonas has been ‘selected’, there was an invisible wall between him and his friends? why so?

Week 2 group 3 connector.

-How like their ceremony of twelve is like me and my friends going from elementary to middle school. Like how worried some of us are and the others were excited. When Jonas’ mom mentioned that his life will change, he won’t have much time to have fun and most of the time he would be just busy. Like me, the first year of middle school was hard, and it took me a very long time to get used not being as close to some of my bestfriends and meeting new friend that we shared class with. And before middle school even started, I was worried what is going to changed. It was like a big step. Well, I’m guessing that is what high school seniors feels like? Worried where their life is going to move next? What turn are they going to do? What change will happen? They also had parents and child talks which we do have when we get older I guess.

-Another common thing our world shared with the book is that they have a place for kids or teens or adult kids to do internship. Like how Jonas and his friends went to an Old person place to bath for old people. It’s like collegers having internship so they can have full experience when they get out of school and start on their life.

-How Jonas has a crush? In my opinion? It’s cute. How Jonas have a thing for Fiona, and like how he looked over at her a few times. It’s like middle school love, It started out by giving each other glare, then so on.
