Over time, the story will be more intense and more dramatic because he’s going to experience things that nobody in the community have ever done.  At this moment, the reflector remembered when he first move to a new school and his old friends started to change and that happened exactly like Jonas and Asher when they argue while they’re playing the game of war. Throughout the story, Jonas began to have a different behavior and now he’s becoming more independent. Based on the reflector’s idea, if Jonas doesn’t change the community, he wouldn’t able to handle the pain example like the Receiver (Rosemary). Between chapters 17-19, the reflector got confused where Rosemary had all the good memories and Jonas have to suffer both good and bad. It also makes the reflector feels like best friends forever doesn’t exist in this community because of Asher arguing with Jonas.
